The CAA cable is a concentric conductor composed of one or more layers (crowns) of aluminum wires 1350, hard seasoning (H19) and a nucleus (high mechanical resistance galvanized steel soul. According to the dimension of the cable, the core can consist of a single steel wire or several stringed steel wires.
Due to the numerous possible combinations of aluminum and steel wires, their proportion may be to vary in order to obtain the best relationship between current transportation capacity and mechanical resistance for each application.
