DESCRIPTION
All Aluminum alloy(ALMELEC) conductors, stranded in successive layers to form the stranded AAAC conductor
Applications
AAAC are mainly used to overhead lines, in transmission and distribution electrical networks.
Kinds of bare conductor
(1) all aluminium conductor (AAC) or all aluminium stranded conductor (ASW)
(2) all aluminimum alloy conductor(AAAC)
(3) aluminum conductor steel reinforced (ACSR)
(4) anti-corrosion type ACSR
(5) aluminimum conductor aluminimum clad steel reinforced(ACSR/AW)
(6) rear earth aluminimum conductor steel reinforced(ACSR/RE)
(7) aluminimum conductor aluminimum alloy reinforced(ACAR)
(8) all aluminimum alloy steel reinforced(AACSR)
(9) aluminimum clad steel strand(ACS)
(10) galvanized steel wire strand(GSW)
STANDARD
Bare concentric-lay-stranded aluminium wires constructed with a straight round central aluminum wire surrounded by one or more layers of helically laid aluminium wires.
The most commonly used stranding consists of 7, 19, 37, 61 and 91 wires.
In all constructions, the successive layers shall have opposite directions of lay, the outermost layer being right-handed.
